Collision repair shops reporting higher sales down slightly compared to 2016. Shops reporting higher earnings declined in the fourth quarter.
The CollisionWeek quarterly survey of business conditions reported by collision repair facility owners and managers indicates that the overall percentage of facilities with higher sales was down slightly in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared to the previous quarter result. The overall percentage reporting higher sales was down 0.7 percentage points below the third quarter result. The result, however, is 14.6 points above the average since CollisionWeek began the research in 2002.
