Missouri Man Pleads Guilty to Selling Counterfeit Airbags

A southwestern Missouri man pleaded guilty in federal court December 6 to a scheme to sell counterfeit automotive airbags and components online.

This guilty plea resulted from an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the IRS – Criminal Investigation division.

Aleksey Illyuk, 28, of Ozark, Mo., pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge David P. Rush to one count of mail fraud and one count of smuggling goods into the United States.
