The new vehicle retail sales pace in October is expected to reach the second-highest level this year, according to a forecast developed jointly by J.D. Power and LMC Automotive. The seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR) for retail sales is expected to be 14.2 million units, down 0.3 million from a year ago. Retail sales in October are anticipated to reach 1,070,900 units, a 0.6 percent decrease (selling day adjusted) compared with October 2016.
