Auto body repair prices in September up more than three percent compared to year ago. Auto insurance prices were up over eight percent during the same period.
The most recent government figures on inflation through September 2017 indicate the rate of growth of auto body repair prices has increased slightly taking it to nearly 1 point above the rate of inflation in 2017. Both the price of auto insurance and body repair continues to increase above the rate of overall inflation during the past twelve months, though the body repair measure’s growth is significantly less than auto insurance.
