Fuel Economy Targets Driving Auto Technology Likely to Change Under Trump Administration

Election outcome will influence fuel economy regulations that have driven vehicle manufacturers drive to adopt lightweight vehicle structures.

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that the 2025 U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies targets that are currently facing a mid-term review are likely to be revised under a Trump Administration.

The Journal reported quoted a Trump policy advisor who said fuel economy regulations would be among the governmental regulations implemented during the Obama Administration that would be reviewed.
