Australia Automobile Association Launches Connect Car Consumer Campaign

Group hopes help Australians understand the benefits and risks of data generated by connected cars and how it could impact independent repairers.

The Australian Automobile Association (AAA) launched the My Car My Data campaign and website to help inform Australians of the emergence of ‘connected’ cars, and what the potential benefits and risks associated with these vehicles might be.

According to the group, whether Australians like it or not, their next new car could well be a connected car, gathering information about them and sending it to the car maker in real time and all the time.
