Federal Court filing alleges Subaru Australia withheld diagnostic software from independent repairers for more than two years, including two businesses that needed it for windshield camera calibration.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has filed proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia against Subaru (Aust) Pty Ltd, alleging the importer failed to offer independent repairers the same service and repair information it supplied to its own dealer network between July 1, 2022 and Aug. 31, 2024.
The case, filed Aug. 20 in the court’s Victoria registry as VID943/2026, is the first court action the regulator has brought under the Motor
