The Nevada Division of Insurance issued a bulletin in July reminding auto insurance companies and collision repair facility operators about their obligations to disclose non-OEM parts usage to consumers and follow manufacturer procedures.
On July 22, the Nevada Department of Business and Industry, Division of Insurance, issued a bulletin detailing the standards the auto insurance and collision repair industries must adhere to when non-OEM parts are used during an insurance claim. The bulletin also explains that repairs must follow specifications from vehicle manufacturers.
