Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo on Wednesday, July 13 vetoed legislation that sought to requires insurers to provide owners of damaged rental vehicles with loss of use compensation in addition to compensation for the physical damage of the vehicles.
Rhode Island House Bill 7412, introduced in January, sought to amend Rhode Island’s Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act by adding the following section:
