Production employees and hours worked both increase as industry remains above 2015 and prior high recorded in March 2008.
An analysis of the latest data released from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), shows that total production for the collision repair industry increased in March versus the previous year, but was down from February. Production remains above the prior peak of November 2008.
The industry’s total production, which we define as the total average weekly hours by month multiplied by the total number of production and non-supervisory workers employed each month, was 7.25 million man hours
