The continued decline in gas prices from the historic highs in June helped traffic return to growth. August result was still below 2019.
Traffic volume in August returned to growth compared to the previous year after two months of declines that started when gas prices hit all-time highs in the U.S. during June. While traffic volume was above August 2021, traffic volume was below the same month in 2019 for the second month in a row.
