Respondents to our most recent survey indicate sales in October compared to last year were down slightly more than in September and August.
A growing percentage of collision repair facility operators responding to the most recent Collision Repair Business Conditions survey covering October reported that sales were down, reversing a trend of lower numbers reporting sales declining sales. The shop-size weighted sales comparison to last year declined for the second month in a row on the year-over-year basis. The projection for November sales was more hopeful, but the same was true for the projection for October.
