Compared to the same month in 2018, traffic volume in the U.S. was down slightly in November. However, the 12-month rolling average sets another new record.
Travel volume in November decreased on a year-over-year basis. November’s result is the third monthly decline in traffic volume compared to the same month the previous year during 2018. Traffic also declined in June and February compared to the same month in 2018. Since March 2014, there have only been six monthly declines, with three of the six during winter months in the first quarter that can be adversely affected by weather.
