Vehicle Manufacturer Backed Coalition Raises Data Security Concerns with Massachusetts Right to Repair Proposals

The Coalition for Safe and Secure Data (CSSD), which is backed by the Washington, D.C.-based Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, the Global Automakers Association and the Computing Technology Industry Association, is raising concerns that revisions proposed to Massachusetts Right to Repair regulations governing vehicle data and repair procedure access for consumers and independent repairers could lead to consumer privacy cybersecurity concerns.
