The Supervisory Board of Peugeot S.A. (Groupe PSA) and the Board of Directors of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) (NYSE: FCAU ) announced they have reached an agreement to merge, creating a new group with global scale and resources owned 50% by Groupe PSA shareholders and 50% by FCA shareholders.
The combination would create the 4th largest global vehicle manufacturer in terms of annual unit sales with 8.7m vehicles sold globally.
