Traffic Volume Hits Record Levels in July

Compared to the same month in 2018, traffic volume in the U.S. was up in July. The 12-month rolling average sets another new record.

Travel volume in July increased on a year-over-year basis. July’s result returns traffic volume to growth after a 0.3 percent decline in June versus June 2018. Since March 2014, there have only been five monthly declines, with three of the five during winter months in the first quarter that can be adversely affected by weather.
