Hawaii Senate Bill 823 (SB 823), that seeks to change insurance regulations covering non-OEM collision repair parts, was approvedyesterday by the full Hawaii Senate.
The bill would revise Section 431:10C-313.6 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to specify that if the insured consumer chooses the use of an original equipment manufacturer crash part that would affect the insured consumer’s Advanced Driver Assist Systems or safety systems, the insured consumer shall not have to pay
