NY Collision Repair Shop Owner Arrested on Insurance Fraud Charge

Suffolk County Police on Saturday, February 2, announced the arrest of the owner of an Amityville, New York collision repair shop for submitting fraudulent insurance claims for repairs on a vehicle.

Andrew Nuss, the owner of Village Line Auto Body, located at 123 Albany Ave., submitted fraudulent billing documentation for repairs on a vehicle between December 12, 2018 and January 23, 2019. 

Detectives from the Property/Auto Crime Unit conducted a joint investigation with the National Insurance Crime Bureau, New York State Department of Financial Services Insurance Fraud Unit, Allstate, MetLife Auto and Home and arrested Nuss at Village Line Auto
