New legislation introduced in New York State seeks to establish minimum standards for auto glass replacement. New York Assembly Bill 1201, introduced last week by Assemblyman Clifford Crouch (R-Bainbridge), would establish extensive standards for auto glass replacement services in the state.
According to the legislative memo included with the bill, the purpose of this bill is to increase the safety to consumers and to ensure that auto glass replacement standards are consistent with the federal motor vehicle safety standard requirements and to protect consumers
