The California Legislature gave final approval to Senate Bill 988, the California Motor Vehicle Glass Act, on Aug. 26, when the Senate concurred 37-0 in Assembly amendments to the measure. The Assembly passed the bill 78-0 on Aug. 24. SB 988 was enrolled Aug. 28 and presented to Gov. Gavin Newsom at 6 p.m. Aug. 31.
