3M Automotive Aftermarket President Dave Gunderson to Retire, Chad Carney Named Successor

Dave Gunderson will retire as president of 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division on Oct. 1 after 38 years with the company, 3M announced Aug. 21. Chad M. Carney has been named his successor.

Gunderson joined 3M in 1988 and held roles in global business leadership, operations and technical engineering across several 3M divisions and geographies, among them the Automotive and the Aerospace and Marine businesses, and portfolios spanning Advanced Ceramics, Structural Adhesives and Masking Tape. He led 3M’s 2008 acquisition of Meguiar’s Inc. and served as that business’s first director and chief operating officer. He returned to the Automotive Aftermarket Division
