Survey Finds U.S. Driving Behavior Worsening as Distraction, Aggression Rise

Survey by Nationwide says roadways growing more stressful and less predictable.

Nearly nine in 10 drivers say phone use behind the wheel has increased in the past year, and 40% of parents with teen drivers say they would trust an autonomous vehicle over their teen in certain driving situations, according to a new national survey from Nationwide.

 

The survey of more than 1,800 respondents — including general consumers, parents of teen drivers and commercial drivers — paints a picture of American roadways growing more stressful and less predictable, with distraction, aggression and recklessness on the rise across all driver
