After lower results in July and August, production increased in September to set a new record.
An analysis of the latest data released from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) covering the preliminary September collision repair employment, hours worked and wages indicated production increased compared to August and was up on a year-over-year basis.
Overall, total collision repair industry employment in September was up 7.7% compared to September 2021. Production employment was up 9.4% compared to 2021.
