Collision Repair Associations Endorse OEM Procedures

The three national collision repair associations and a group of 22 state and regional associations reiterated a 2011 endorsement of OEM collision repair procedures as the standard for repairs.

In a letter published on the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) website, the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP), the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and the group of state and regional associations stated:

It is the position of all undersigned organizations that if a vehicle manufacturer documents a repair procedure as required, recommended or otherwise necessary as a result of damage or repair, that those published procedures would be the
