1963 Insurance Anti-Trust Consent Decree Nominated for Termination

August 9, 2019 By CollisionWeek Editor

The 1963 consent decree reached between the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) and three insurance industry trade associations has been nominated to be officially terminated as part of an initiative covering legacy antitrust judgments. If terminated, it would bring to an end collision repair efforts to have its terms enforced upon today’s auto insurance industry.

The consent decree was the end result of a Federal lawsuit in the U.S.
