Traffic Volume Up in May

Compared to the same month in 2018, traffic volume in the U.S. was up in May. The 12-month rolling average sets new record.

Travel volume in May increased on a year-over-year basis. This is the third monthly increase on a year over year basis in  traffic volume since a monthly decline versus the previous year in February. Since March 2014, there have only been four monthly declines, with three of the four during winter months in the first quarter that can be adversely affected by weather.
