White House Issues Directive to Advance Artificial Intelligence Research

President Trump issued an executive order directing the Federal Government to prioritize research and development of America’s artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. The initiative focuses Federal Government resources toward developing AI technology and ensuring that the next great AI inventions are made in the United States. The initiative will support long-term research and increase researcher access to Federal data and computing resources.

Artificial intelligence is seen as having potential to improve the auto insurance claim and estimating process.

The initiative also seeks to preparing America’s workforce for the jobs of the future by directing Federal agencies to help Americans gain AI-relevant
