While much of the federal government remains shut down, funding under the Department of Education was finalized on time in September. It is expected funding for career and technical education programs through Perkins should be distributed as normal on July 1.
According to information released by the Department of Education, career and technical education state grants will increase $70 million to 1.26 billion in FY2019 or 5.9 percent over $1.19 billion in FY2019
