The Boyd Group Inc. announced the January 9 opening of a Gerber collision repair location specializing in the repair of large commercial vehicles, semi trucks, buses and recreational vehicles in Cayce, S.C. This location previously operated as Bob Johnson’s Body Shop and has operated in the market for 45 years.
The acquisition marks the Boyd Group’s first location in the state. It now operates locations in 26 states.
Cayce is located on the Congaree River across from Columbia, the capital city of South Carolina and primary city of a metropolitan area of approximately 800,000 people.
