Approval allows Plymouth Rock to continue its expansion into New York market.
New York State Financial Services Superintendent Maria T. Vullo announced that the State Department of Financial Services (DFS) has approved an application by Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation to acquire MAPFRE Insurance Company of New York, a New York domestic property and casualty insurer, (MICNY).
The acquisition was part of a deal for MAPFRE’s business in New York and New Jersey that was announced in June 2018.
