All Ford vehicles from Model Year 2010 should be scanned before collision repair estimates.
Ford Motor Company has issued a position statement covering the need for diagnostic scanning before and after the collision repair process. The position statement can be downloaded from OEM1Stop.com.
According to the Ford statement, any Model Year 2010 vehicle with damage that exceeds minor outer body panel cosmetic distortion, should have a pre-repair diagnostic scan to determine necessary repairs.
