Auto physical damage indicators influencing the collision repair industry declined during the second quarter compared to last year. Claims below year ago levels while losses up.
According to the latest available Fast Track Monitoring system data from the Independent Statistical Service Inc. (ISS), private passenger collision claims decreased in the U.S. during the 12 months through the second quarter of 2018 compared to the year ending with the second quarter of 2017. Claims in the second quarter were also slightly below the year ending in the first quarter of 2018, but losses were up both year-over-year as well as quarter-on-quarter
