Traffic Volume Continued to Rise in June

Compared to the same month the previous year, traffic volume in the U.S. was up in June. The 12-month rolling average set another record high level.

Travel volume in June increased on a year-over-year basis. Increased driving, coupled with higher numbers of new, insured vehicles, has supported higher collision repair industry volume and auto physical damage insurance claims across the U.S.

Travel for the month of June is estimated at 269.2 billion vehicle miles nationwide according to the most recent data released by the Federal Highway Administration.

June’s traffic volume represents an increase of 0.9 percent or 2.4 billion vehicle
