In comments filed June 29 to the U.S. Department of Commerce, the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) opposed the imposition of new tariffs or quotas on imported automobiles or automotive parts. NADA fears that any new tariffs or quotas will result in higher vehicle prices and reduced choice.
The NADA is one of the latest automotive industry groups to raise concerns over the prospect of new tariffs of up to 25 percent that could be imposed upon imported autos and parts as part of the Department of Commerce Section 232 Investigation.
