Collision repair shops reporting higher sales down 7.9 percentage points compared to 2017. Shops reporting higher earnings declined again in the first quarter.
The CollisionWeek quarterly survey of business conditions reported by collision repair facility owners and managers indicates that the overall percentage of facilities with higher sales was down slightly in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the previous quarter result. The overall percentage reporting higher sales was down 7.9 percentage points below the fourth quarter result. The result, however, remains above the 35.5 percent average since CollisionWeek began the research in 2002.
