California Assembly Committee Approves Amended Collision Repair Labor Rate Survey Bill

Appropriations Committee approves amended legislation that would revise California Insurance Department regulations governing how auto insurer’s conduct labor rate surveys on collision repair work.

The California Assembly Appropriations Committee on Friday amended and approved Assembly Bill 2276 (AB 2276) that would revise collision repair labor survey regulations that came into effect last year.

The previous version of the legislation, similar to proposed legislation (AB 1679) that died in the Appropriations Committee earlier this year, was approved by the Assembly Insurance Committee by a vote of 13-0 in April. The amended legislation was approved in the Appropriations Committee by a vote
