BMW announced it will expand it Certified Collision Repair Center program to independent repair facilities from its current limit to dealer-owned collision repair centers.
According to BMW, currently more than half of BMW U.S. dealerships own and operate a BMW Certified Collision Repair Center, meaning they meet rigorous BMW standards for training, parts, equipment, and repair procedures. The new Independent Repair Facility program will expand this coverage by allowing for BMW dealerships who so choose, to sponsor up to two Independent Repair Facilities in their Primary Market area (PMA) to become BMW Certified Collision Repair Centers.
