NIOSH Releases Frequently Asked Question Flyers for Respirator Fit Testing, Seal Test

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)  and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have produced two flyers that detail frequently asked questions (FAQs) on required respirator fit tests and user seal checks.

NIOSH Fit Check FAQBoth the Fit Testing FAQ and the User Seal Check FAQ are available for download as Adobe Acrobat files.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires an annual respirator fit test to confirm the fit of any respirator that forms a tight seal on the wearer’s face before it is used in the workplace. This ensures that users are receiving the expected level
