Auto Care Association Testifies In Support of Copyright Exemption for Auto Repairers and Tool Providers

With access to diagnostics increasingly important for auto service and collision repair industries, association testimony before U.S. Copyright Office calls for expanding the copyright repair exemption beyond vehicle owners. Should also include telematics.

Auto Care AssociationYesterday in a hearing before the U.S. Copyright Office in Washington, D.C., Auto Care Association Senior Vice President for Regulatory and Government Affairs, Aaron Lowe, testified in support of the association’s petition to expand the current exemption for consumers under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
