GM Targeting 2019 for Introduction of Self-Driving Taxi Fleet

Vehicle manufacturer projects safety technology progress will enable mass launch of self-driving vehicle ride service in major metro markets within two years.

In a presentation for investors last week, General Motors executives outlined their electric and autonomous vehicle ambitions. According to Dan Amman, president of GM, autonomous vehicles represent the biggest business opportunity since the creation of the internet.
