After achieving record levels of production, production declined slightly in August compared to July, but was up versus 2016.
An analysis of the latest data released from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), shows that total production for the collision repair industry in August declined slightly from the record levels it had been achieving over the previous few months.
The industry’s total production, which we define as the total average weekly hours per month multiplied by the total number of production and non-supervisory workers employed each month, was 7.55 million man hours per week in August,
