Auto body repair prices in July up less than two percent compared to year ago. Auto insurance prices were up nearly 6 percent during the same period.
The most recent government figures on inflation through July 2017 indicate the rate of growth of auto body repair prices has declined slightly bringing it closer to the rate of inflation in 2017. Both the price of auto insurance and body repair continue to increase above the rate of overall inflation during the past twelve months, though the body repair measure’s growth is significantly less than auto insurance.
