UK Authority will consider proposal to divest technical information provider to preserve competition.
The United Kingdom Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announced yesterday that it is considering proposals from Solera to overcome competition concerns over its January acquisition of Autodata. According to the CMA, Solera has proposed to sell E3 Technical, which is part of CarweB, to a buyer approved by the CMA.
Both E3 Technical, which Solera owned prior to the Autodata acquisition, and Autodata supply vehicle repair and maintenance information (RMI) platforms across the UK, which give access to digital data and are mainly used by repair
