Acquisition of Canada’s largest non-franchise collision repair company more than doubles Boyd’s footprint in the country.
The Boyd Group Income Fund (TSE:BYD.UN) yesterday announced that it has, through a subsidiary company, acquired Assured Automotive Inc., the largest operator of non-franchised collision repair centres in Canada, based in Ontario. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings per unit and cash flow per unit.
According to Boyd, with the acquisition the company will have 474 locations in North America and over 7,300 employees and over CA$1.5 billion ($1.54 billion) in 2016 pro forma revenue.
