Sherwin Williams certified all of my painters when we were using their AMX line. It means nothing, they told me I had some really good painters, they all received their certification.
When we started to have die back issues they blamed the painters. Then they sent their techs out and the techs said it’s not the painter, it must be your paint booth, your compressor, your air lines. They blamed everything but their product. The product was proven to be the problem after it was reveled by their own documents in Federal Court that they knew the whole time that the paint was the issue but they still put it on the market.
They have so much money they fight anyone that challenges them. They hide behind their money instead of just fixing their “known problems” (their words on their documents).
After almost five years of dealing with them and their lies they sued me for lost profits after I left them. I counter sued them and proved they lied.
They even tried to blame our painters in court. That didn’t work because one of their own people matter of fact, they claimed he was one of the best techs, they had painted a car at our shop and that of course died back as well. Plus we had several other bodyshops that testified that this happens to them as well.
Bottom line is they can’t be trusted. For more information e-mail me at
