AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE:AN) announced the resignation of William “Bill” Berman as President and Chief Operating Officer effective May 15. Berman will continue to serve as an employee of the Company in an advisory capacity through June 30. Mike Jackson, AutoNation’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will assume all operating responsibilities as AutoNation begins the selection process for a new President and Chief Operating Officer.
Berman was named president in February.
Mike Jackson, stated, “I thank Bill for his 20 years of service and leadership at AutoNation. We wish Bill all the best in his future endeavors.”
