Iowa Senate File 81 (SF 81) introduced by Senator Brad Zaun seeks to add a section to the Chapter 507B of the Iowa Code on Insurance Trade Practices to define several unfair motor vehicle repair practices in the practice of insurance.
The legislation would add Section 507B.3A Unfair or deceptive motor vehicle repair practices. The section would prohibit an adjuster, appraiser, insurance producer, insurer, or employee of an insurer from doing any of the following:
