The growth in traffic volume in the U.S continued in September, but at a lower rate compared to August. All regions reported higher traffic volume in September versus 2015.
Travel for the month of September is estimated at 265.5 billion vehicle miles nationwide according to the most recent data released by the Federal Highway Administration. The September result continues the trend of increased driving that had led to the growth in both auto physical damage insurance claims and collision repair industry volume.
September’s traffic volume represents an increase of 2.9 percent or 7.5 billion vehicle miles over September 2015. This
