According to a report in Reuters, the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers is reaching out to Congress in an attempt to block the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s move to finalize the mid-term review of the escalating emission requirements that will affect the automobile industry through 2025.
According to the report, the Auto Alliance, that represents 12 vehicle manufacturers that represent 77 percent of U.S. sales including General Motors, Ford and Toyota, yesterday urged congressional negotiators to include language in a short-term budget resolution that would bar the Obama administration from finalizing the rules before it leaves office next month.
“EPA’s
