UK Bodyshop Association Meets with Insurers on Data Breach Investigation

RMI Bodyshops (NAB & VBRA) reported it met with a group of leading UK insurers yesterday to discuss information relating to its concerns over a potentially serious breach of repairer management systems confidentiality, and the apparent release of personal data to third party legal firms and accident management companies.

RMI logoIn June, the association announced it was investigating a potential breach, but it had not determined at the time whether the activity was allowed by management system licensing agreements or the result of an illegal cyber-attack.
